What we store, why, for how long, and who to contact. Plain description rather than a template — if something here is unclear, that is a fault worth telling us about.

What we store, and why

  • Recipient phone numbers, normalised to E.164. Needed to deliver a message and to answer “did this person get it”.
  • The text of every message sent, as delivered. Kept because it is the DLT evidence trail a carrier or TRAI enquiry asks for — what was sent, to whom, on which registered template, on what date.
  • Carrier delivery receipts, append-only. The record of what the operator reported and when.
  • Contacts you import, including any merge fields in your file and whether you have marked somebody as DND.
  • Your own account — who signed in, and which API key sent what. Held so a leaked credential can be traced.

What we do not do

  • We do not sell or share your contact lists. They are yours and are not pooled.
  • We do not use the content of your messages to train anything, profile recipients, or build a cross-customer dataset.
  • We do not send to a recipient you have not given us. There is no shared or purchased list anywhere in this product.

How long we keep it

Contacts and templates for as long as your workspace exists, and we delete them when it is deleted. The message log and its delivery receipts are different: they are a compliance record of traffic that has already been sent, and a retention obligation attaches to them that does not end because an account closes. We do not delete that trail on request, and saying so plainly is better than implying a deletion we would not perform.

Your rights

Under the DPDP Act you may ask what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, and withdraw consent. For a recipient of a message: we hold your number because a business using this platform gave it to us, so the quickest route is to ask them to remove you — and to tell us, so we can mark you DND and stop promotional traffic from every sender on this platform.

Marking somebody DND stops promotional messages. It does not stop transactional ones such as a one-time password, because suppressing those would break the thing you asked a business for.
